
Zeba Khan is a writer and editor. Her byline has appeared in numerous outlets including The Boston Globe, The San Jose Mercury News, TIME and The Washington Post. A former editorial board member of The San Francisco Chronicle, Zeba has worked with writers on a variety of local and national topics that impact the Bay Area and California. She currently serves on the nonprofit board of The Op-Ed Project, an organization dedicated to elevating the ideas and knowledge of underrepresented expert voices. A community organizer in a previous life, Zeba founded Muslim-Americans for Obama, the only grassroots political organizing effort to mobilize Muslim voters in support of the 2008 Obama campaign.
In recognition of her work, Zeba received The University of Chicago’s 2023 Early Career Achievement Award. She is a 2018 John S. Knight Journalism fellow at Stanford University and a former Pulitzer Prize jury member.
